Meraki, a DJ and producer from Zurich, is currently one of Europe’s hottest newcomers. Despite starting her DJ career in April 2019, she quickly gained recognition with her bassheavy, driving sound of melodic and peak time techno. Originally, she only wanted to create music for herself, as she felt this style was lacking in the local club scene. However, everything changed dramatically when she received a surprising booking request from Hive Club in Zurich.
Despite her neurodiversity (ASD) and initial fear of performing in front of an audience, her partner convinced her – with success: her debut was magical and sparked a hunger for more. While COVID-19 initially slowed her momentum, Meraki used the time to expand her career internationally. She has since performed in Germany, France, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and holds residencies at top Zurich clubs like Hive.
With hypnotic rhythms and pulsating beats, Meraki creates not only musical escape moments but also sends a clear message: one doesn’t have to fit into a mold to make their dreams come true. She recently signed with Autektone Records – her new track “Devon Rex” will be released later this year.
In addition to her music, Meraki is passionate about animal welfare, donating a portion of her earnings and combining compassion with creativity. She shows that music and activism can be a powerful force to touch and support both people and animals.
